A TOUCH OF PURPLE

Celebrating February WITHOUT hearts
would be like being
5 years old again ...

at a special little friend's birthday party
and
refusing to wear the silly paper*
party hat (probably a crown or tiara).

Yet, after being at first gently, then sternly coerced
kings wear crowns
and
queens wear tiaras.
Right?

February needs no coercion because
she happily wears hearts.

LET'S GO CELEBRATE FEBRUARY

enjoying the warm feeling,
both in giving and receiving.

What were you doing the last time YOU said
'perfection is overrated'?

Easy to say, isn't it?
But saying (probably out loud with an ! behind it)
usually isn't very convincing
when perfection is EXACTLY what you're going for.

Wonder why I'm stewing about this?
As I'm diligently creating my new website,
one I desperately want you to enjoy and visit often,
it feels like making a snowman ---
going here and going there to gather up
all that is needed ... then thinking
gee, I better redo this and oh, that, too.

What are you doing that brings up your be-perfect feeling?
Let me know.

I hear sharing helps.
Or maybe we should start a
Recovering Perfectionist Club?
How about our motto being 'Perfection IS Overrated'?
Next, how about a 13-Step Program to regroove
our old habits?
