Elephant - 'Sharing the Serengeti'
Our paths crossed on a dirt road in the Serengeti, on a February afternoon down inside the Ngorongoro Crater.
Because he was there first, he had 'road rights.'
I had the deep privilege of spending about an hour with a huge, wild, beautiful elephant.
A closeup elephant encounter was my dream experience. We, nor the elephant, had any other appointments to keep, so the engine turned off. In the quiet, we shared time and made memories.
Mr Elephant had pulled down a tree branch and, almost delicately, twisted it, casually munching his mid-day snack.
I imprinted those special moments in my mind and heart, silently talking to him, feeling a heart-to-heart connection with him. I was filled with gratitude to be a guest in his wild kingdom.
Be assured I transferred Mr Elephant memories into this painting for you.
His stories want to be carried out to your world because the elephant populations are dwindling.
This I promise ...
Africa is magic.
Feeling connected to the animals is magical.
His image will connect you.
You will not be the same .....
